A new addition to my Liquescence series! And a new blog!

I'm happy to say that I've just completed the 7th image for the Liquescence Series. Liquescence 7 (yes, I didn't waste a lot of creativity or imagination when it came to naming these pieces) is the first new piece of 2012.

Sounds like I'm slacking doesn't it? The first new piece of the year and I finish it 3+ months into the year?!?! Well 2012 has been a busy year! Among other things I just recently finished rebuilding the Atelier Coakes website in a more iPad (as well as other hand held devices) friendly format (though PLEASE don't view while driving!). And now that it's complete (for now) and the new piece is complete it seems like a good time to launch this new blog page as well.

The plan is to populate this blog with information for art collectors and enthusiasts as well as artists themselves. Meanwhile, I'd better get started on the second new piece of 2012.
